About Sheikh Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rajhi (may he rest in peace)

Sheikh Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Rajhi (may his soul rest in peace) was born in 1347 H (1928) in the Al Bakiriyah governorate in the Qassim region of central Saudi Arabia. Raised in a household steeped in religious values, kindness, and generosity, he embarked on his entrepreneurial journey at the age of 17 with a modest capital. Through diligence and determination, he transformed his venture into a multibillion-dollar enterprise. He often reiterated, "My achievements are not a result of my own efforts, but rather the blessings of Allah. The true enrichment of wealth lies in acts of charity."

Sheikh Abdullah (may his soul rest in peace) initiated his philanthropic endeavors at a young age, starting with the donation of 30,000 productive palm trees. This figure grew to over 100,000 through various projects like Al Rajhi Farm 1, Al Rajhi Farm 2, Al Holuwah, and Dharma Farm, managed by Al Rajhi Dates Company for Agricultural and Livestock Production.

In 1418 H (1997), he further cemented his commitment to philanthropy by endowing portions of his real estate, shares, and farms as a waqf for the sake of Allah.
Moreover, he bequeathed one-third of his estate, including shares and cash, to reinforce the existing endowments after his passing. May Allah accept his noble endeavors.
Today, Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Rajhi Awqaf Holding Company (Rajh) stands as a paradigm of philanthropy, actively nurturing sustainable community development throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
